    FORNALUTX
    CHARMING TOWN OF MAJORCA
The mountain village of Fornalutx with its 500 inhabitants is picturesquely situated between orange and lemon plantations a few kilometers north-east of Sóller. The beautiful listed mountain village with its steep streets and stone houses has been twice voted the most beautiful village in Spain. We recommend, you should park the car outside the village and explore the village on foot. Also worth a visit is the parish church "Navidad de Nostra Senyora", which dates back to the 16th century and has a sundial and statue of Mary above the portal. From Fornalutx also leads an old hiking trail to the monastery Lluc. In the village itself has only a few small hotels and small restaurants.
    A unique village
The charms of Fornalutx are endless: the cobblestone streets and the steps of the small old town, carefully decorated with ceramic pots and plants; the old stone houses and their doors wide open; the lush vegetation of the terraces and orchards where the famous oranges are grown ... The architecture and landscaping is so interesting that it is difficult to appreciate them in all its breadth.
    The environment of Fornalutx
Not far from Fornalutx lies Biniaraix, a small village in the valley of Sóller that retains the charm of bygone times. Biniaraix is famous for its gorge - Es Barranc - where one of the island's most important hiking trails takes place. Also worth mentioning are the trips to Binibassí, the road from S'Alzina Fumadora to Sa Comuna and many other routes that can be explored on foot or by bike.
