Meet the most beautiful and quiet towns of Mallorca. Spend your holidays in the paradise of the Tramuntana
Mallorca is formed by 53 municipalities, 13 of them are found in the Tramuntana mountains, giving them an extra value and beauty, thanks to the astonishing views that can be enjoyed from them and the for the cozy style that their streets give off.
Furthermore, the proximity to the Serra de Tramuntana, makes these villages the perfect destination for hiking enthusiasts, since they all connect with the famous GR221 route that runs along this mountain range.
Today we are going to talk about 3 of these wonderful villages on the island.
Deià
The town of Deià borders the municipalities of Valldemosa, Buñola and Sóller.
Deià is one of the most beautiful villages in Mallorca, and it is not surprising that it was a claim for young artists such as painters, writers, poets and creatives from all branches, to find some inspiration.
The landscape surrounding Deià is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks to this, much of the natural and cultural heritage of the area is still in good condition, to be enjoyed and studied today.
In addition Deià, apart from having an incredible mountain range on one side, offers coast on the other, and it is that in this small town, one of the most famous and known coves of the island is located. Cala Deià. In this cove of stone and sand, you can sunbathe and swim in its blue waters, during your vacations and when you go hungry, right next door is Ca's Patro March, a restaurant well known for its appearance in the mini-series of television, "The Night Manager."
Fornalutx
Like Deià, the municipality of Fornalutx is located in the Serra de Tramuntana and borders the municipalities of Sóller and Escorca.
The beauty of this Mallorcan town has allowed it to continue being part, year after year, of the association of the most beautiful villages in Spain, being the only town in the Balearic Islands that is member.
The main attraction of Fornalutx is the town itself, as it retains its own charm thanks to its narrow streets and stone buildings.
Sóller
Located in the middle of a valley of oranges is Sóller, a town of great beauty where you can spend a couple of wonderful days.
You can easily access Sóller through the Sóller Tunnel, which is currently not necessary to pay any tolls or through the old wooden train that goes from the center of Palma (Plaza España) to the town itself.
